
About Nancy Gruhl
After more than 40 years of teaching skating at all levels—from Learn to Skate programs to NHL-level players, Nancy Gruhl has built a strong reputation throughout Niagara, Ontario and the United States as a premier Power Skating coach. Her experience spans youth development, competitive hockey, and elite player training.
Nancy has collaborated with numerous hockey schools and organizations to develop and strengthen skating development programs within their associations. Her focus has always been on building strong skating fundamentals while helping players improve speed, power, and confidence on the ice.
Accomplishments
Inducted into the Port Colborne Sports Wall of Fame in 2022.

Nancy has worked with skaters at every stage of development, from young athletes taking their first steps in Learn to Skate programs to players competing at the highest levels of hockey. Her experience includes training minor hockey players building strong skating foundations, as well as elite athletes competing in the OHL, NHL, and professional leagues in Europe. By adapting her coaching approach to each player’s skill level and goals, Nancy focuses on improving skating efficiency, power, balance, and confidence on the ice.
